Not all persons who need accessible parking need van accessible spaces. Electric vehicle charging stations are always reserved for electric vehicles only. You may not park in spaces we have reserved with cone or barricades unless they are specially reserved for accessible parking. You may not park in space posted as reserved for specific permit numbers or permit types. Once registered, the placard or plate will be considered to be the UVM parking permit and must be displayed at all times when parked on campus.Īny vehicle displaying a valid accessible placard/license plate may park in a space posted as an accessible space, regular space, or pay-by-app space (without payment). This also allows us to make a notation under each of your vehicles indicating your placard information, to inform us of your eligibility should you forget to display. By providing this information, along with the documentation confirming to whom it is registered, we can properly enforce these spaces on campus. UVM students, faculty, staff, vendors, other affiliates with disabilities (such as temporary employees, and volunteers) are required to register their placard/plate(s) and vehicle with the Transportation and Parking Services office. Parking in these spaces is free with a valid accessible placard issued by any state. In accordance with the American with Disabilities Act as amended, the University reserves parking spaces on campus for individuals with disabilities.
